Maybe the HP executives can get involved? They get paid enough $$$, perhaps they can budget some of their discretionary budget to solving the problems theit company created for their loyal customers??

Beyond Frustrating that HP breaks my printer with a Software Upgrade and it now only show Resend Upgrade.  There virtual assistant is useless and they have the gall to push a printer upgrade if you are having printer problems.   Can you spell class action!!!!

The recent HP printer comparable to the M281cdw that was bricked is the M283cdw. The form and function of the new M283 is essentially the same as the older printer.  So you might think you could buy the M283 printer and just use the stockpile of M281 HP ink cartridges in the M283??? Hahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha

The replacement printer cartridges for the M281cdw look very similar to the replacement cartridges for the M283cdw. EXCEPT they don't fit.  A couple of mm difference in the black plastic case cause it to not fit.

**Bleep**

Clearly HP was out for a short term boost in sales of printers and ink, and this is how they went about it. Also not to mention the CONSTANT pop-up notifications (that you can't stop from appearing), telling you that your ink is running low and you need to replace the cartridges. Even when the quality of the printing looks fine.

Has the firmware team fixed the problem? It has been 3 weeks since I've been able to print or scan or fax. It seems that many people (53? More?) are experiencing the same problem, and all of us are suffering because we need to have a solution. What is the status and update from the firmware team? Thank you.

I tried to get in touch with HP today, but they want to charge me 25 Euro to start a new Support Case.

What will the result be, they tell me they can't fix it for 25 Euros?

I'm willing to pay 25 if I'm sure my device issue will be fixed then 😉

I've been having the same issue with my new MFP 3101fdwe. For the last two weeks I've tried everything. Today I found a new Firmware Update which I thought it would definitely solve the problem. But the "Resend Upgrade Error" persists as of today November 23rd. Unbelievable.

Same issue. My printer hasn't worked for weeks and I have wasted so many hours trying all kinds of fixes! Has there been any solution identified?

Has HP not posted a revised firmware that corrects the paper jamming?

Nothing Yet.

I too have tried multiple times to upload from my pc to the directly connected by USB M281 Printer, the downloaded firmware 20220414.  Each time I try to reinstall the FW, I see programming go across the touch screen on the printer, several times, but the printer seems to restart before the final program has finished.  The M280_Series_FW_Update-20220414.nativeofficefonts.exe software shows the update completed with the smiley face, but I still have the Resend Update.  When I select the Check for Updates Now, I get No Updates Found.  HELP!!!

how do you get firmware revision 20221010?  Thanks in advance  for your comment and help.
