My colour printing on "Kodak Everyday picture paper" has suddenly developed a streak in just one area of my pictures. Pictures are fine on ordinary paper. I have selected "Photo paper" on my printer. I have tried print head cleaning and alignment. Photo included. (Bottom left hand corner)  Any ideas/recommendations please

Hi @GolferDave52,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is printing streaks in your photos on Kodak Everyday picture paper, even though prints on regular paper look fine. Let’s go through a few steps to identify and resolve this issue.

Check Paper Type & Settings

Ensure “Photo Paper” is selected in the printer settings, which you’ve already done.

Verify the correct paper size and quality setting (e.g., “Best” or “High”) is chosen in the print dialog.

Inspect the Paper

Examine the Kodak photo paper for any dust, fingerprints, or uneven surfaces.

Try printing on a different batch of photo paper to rule out a defective roll.

Print Head Cleaning

You mentioned trying this, but run multiple cleanings if necessary. Some streaks require 2–3 cleaning cycles.

Make sure the printer is idle and not interrupted during the cleaning cycle.

Print Head Alignment

You also tried this, but double-check alignment is performed using the actual photo paper, not regular paper.

Check Ink Levels

Low or near-empty cartridges can cause streaks. Replace any cartridges that are low, even if only slightly low.

Perform a Printer Diagnostic Print

Print a diagnostic page or “Print Quality Report” from the printer menu.

Look for streaks or missing lines in the report; this helps identify if a specific cartridge or nozzle is causing the issue.

Try a Different Print Mode

If streaks persist, try printing the photo in “Normal” quality to see if the streak is hardware-related or just a high-quality mode issue.

Check for Firmware Updates

Go to HP Support and ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date, as updates can fix printing inconsistencies.

Physical Inspection

Open the printer and inspect for any debris, dust, or dried ink on the printhead or inside the printer.

Carefully clean with a lint-free cloth if needed.

Test with Another Computer or OS

Sometimes macOS driver issues can cause streaks. Try printing the same photo from another device to rule out driver/software issues.

I hope this helps.
