Can't get any support pages from HP - all links come up with blank page - so hope someone can help.
Changed my cartridges as all low and printing getting poor, and now the black ink won't print despite ink levels showing as high and genuine HP cartridges used. Followed all steps for cleaning, aligning and manually cleaning print screen. Turned it off, pulled the plug out, waited 5 mins. Still no black print. Checked for software and driver updates - none required.
Any help gratefully received.

Thank you for your response. I have now abandoned the HP printer altogether, as I found it was still under an extended warranty I took out when I bought it - not something I usually do, but it paid off this time. So now have a Canon, and shall see if that will be any better. Very grateful that you took the time to try to help.

Hi grandma_72,
Were you able to print a test page or print quality report after following the cleaning steps? This is outlined in the HP support YouTube video here.

Yes, I was able to print a Print quality diagnostic page which was OK except for the black box, which was empty - just a white box with a black surround line. Which is why I can't understand why it won't print my documents. (the printer makes all the right noises and the paper goes through, but comes out blank.)
