I am receiving the error message "the indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer. If this problem persists, replace the cartridges." when installing my new HP 301 ink cartridge purchased from the HP website.
I have tried all the troubleshooting advice that I have read:
Cleaned the sensors on the cartridge and in the printer with a lint free cloth
Removed all cartridges, turned printer off for 3 minutes, pressed power button for 30 seconds, turned power back on and reinstalled cartridges
Factory reset of printer
This is the second official HP 301 cartridge I have purchased and both have had the same problem. I am now at the point of buying a new printer (non-HP) if this issue cannot be resolved. There is no use in repeatedly buying cartridge and facing the same issue.
Any responses on how this error can be fixed (not including the above mentioned points already covered) will be much appreciated.
