Hi @Roxy66

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I’m really sorry this has disrupted your printing—especially when everything else seems ready and the printer just won’t cooperate.

That blinking amber light on the Web Services button of your HP DeskJet 3762 usually means the printer is having trouble connecting to HP’s cloud services (like ePrint or Instant Ink).

Let’s walk through how to fix it and get your printer back online.

Step-by-step actions to fix blinking Web Services light

Restart the printer and network

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall
  • Restart your router and wait until it’s fully online
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on

Check Wi-Fi connection

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button
  • If the light is blinking or off, reconnect using Wireless Setup Mode:
    • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together until the power light flashes
    • Use the HP App on your phone or PC to re-add the printer and complete Wi-Fi setup

Turn off and re-enable Web Services

  • Open the HP App
  • Tap your printer > Advanced Settings (opens in browser)
  • Go to Web Services > Remove Web Services
  • After removal, go back and choose Enable Web Services
  • Follow the prompts to reconnect

Update printer firmware

  • In the HP App, go to Printer Settings > Printer Updates
  • Install any available updates to ensure stable cloud connectivity

Let me know if the light continues blinking after these steps or if the printer doesn’t reconnect—I’ll guide you further based on what we find. You’ve done everything right by addressing this early.
