HP Officejet 5744 e-All-in-One

I am a HP employee and bought two HP Officejet 5744 e-All-in-One Printer via the employee program.   I tried to set the first one up at my daughter's dorm when we dropped her off at college.  We were unable to get the Web services activiated even though the printer was wirelessly connected.  We were not able to get the cartridges to work.   Any suggestions for getting the web services feature activitated?

Hi @DiggerSmalls

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you are unable to enable Web Services on the Officejet 5744 located at the dorm.

Honestly, dorm and college networks are not very printer friendly. Often, when you try to access the internet from your computer, a web page pops up. On this page, you have to accept the terms of agreement. It is after this that  you can access the internet.

The printer has no way of accepting the terms and therefore is unable to access the internet. This is really just an educated guess based on my past experience. It could be that your daughter's dorm is set up differently.

Thanks, Aardvark1--really appreciate the fast reply.  My challenge is that my daughter is away at school and I am here at the Boise site.   Is there a helpline or chat capability that she can call/access for someone to help troubleshoot with her?
