I recently updated my WiFi, and since the update I've been unable to Scan through the HP Scan app.  I am able to scan through the Windows Scan app, but lets be honest that's garbage as I can't control the name of the file and can't scan and join different scans together.

What I've tried:

  • Removing and reinstalling the HP Smart app
  • Removing the Printer from my Computer completely
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Printer Drivers (reboot in between)
  • When I add the Printer to the HP Smart app I always do so by searching directly for the IP address so it isn't using the Wireless Direct Printing
  • Using the HP Print Doctor App, which tests everything and it all works perfectly (most importantly scanning)
  • All combinations of the above

It's driving me nuts, the issue seems to be specifically the HP (not very) Smart App.  Why would scanning work in 2 other apps but not this one?  Prior to changing the network (Google Nest WiFi) it used to work just fine.

I've sent through the requested information a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately still haven't heard anything?
