I have tried cancelling a document from the print queue. It shows that the system is deleting the document, however nothing is happening. I have tried restarting the printer, deleting it from my computer and reinstalling. Unable to print other documents.

Hi @RC651,
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "Unable to delete a print job from the queue" issue.
Try the steps below to resolve the issue-
Step1:Cancel a print job from the printer control panel
Canceling from the control panel stops only the current job. It does not cancel any other pending print jobs in the print queue.
-
For printers with buttons, press the Cancel button
.
-
For printers with a touchscreen, touch X, Stop, or Cancel.
If you are unable to cancel the print job from the control panel, cancel it from the computer or mobile device that you used to send the job.
Cancel a print job from a computer
NOTE:You can only cancel a print job on the computer that you used to send the job.
Cancel a print job from the print queue in Windows.
-
Open the print queue.
-
If a printer icon displays in the notification area, double-click the icon to open the print queue.
-
If a printer icon does not display, search for and open Printers & scanners, select your printer in the list, and then click Open queue.
-
-
Right-click the print job you want to cancel, and then click Cancel.
Step3-Delete job files and restart the print spooler
Whenever a print job is sent to the printer a file is created in Windows. Sometimes these files become corrupt and cause problems. To properly reset your printing environment, delete these print job files manually and restart both the computer and the printer.
NOTE:Restarting PC or the printer spooler cancels all the jobs from other printer as well, so make sure all the printers installed in the PC are idle or wait for them to complete the printing.
-
Turn off the printer using the power button.
-
Search Windows for run, and click the Run Windows application in the list of results.
-
Type services.msc in the Run window, and then press Enter on the keyboard.
The Services menu opens.
-
Right-click Print Spooler and select Stop.

-
After the service has been stopped, close the service window and use Windows Explorer to browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS.
-
Delete all files inside the PRINTERS folder.
-
Restart your computer.
-
Turn on your printer.
-
Try printing again and note what happens.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
