For some reason, I am unable to setup my printer correctly and print from a specific Laptop, running Windows 10 - Home Edition, 64 bit.

 

I am printing successfully from a number of other devices, but not from this laptop. 

 

I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling everything, removing old drivers via printui /s, installing via means of the HP Smart. Every signle time the installation completes, the printer is being recognized but I always get an error "Could not print on ... " and in the printer queue I get a generic ERROR. I tried using the doctor app to no avai. 

 

Any suggestinons as to how to troubleshoot the issue ?

I successfully resolved this by manually adding a Standard TCP Port, via the Printer Properties panel, Ports pane and enabling Printer Pooling.

 

The port should point to the printer's IP.
