After entering my User Name(Email address) and password to authenticate the input, the message

appears saying that the User anme or password is incorrect. Of course the same thing occurs

when I try to set-up "Scan to Network Folder. Have tried MANY combinations. Aleways the

same.

I suggest you restore the printer to Factory Defaults

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance .

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

5. Touch Restore.

 

Then setup Webs Service and Scan to Email again

Good morning - Thank you for your reply.

However resetting everything didn't help. It all behaved as previously - -

"Scan to Email" works perfectly. "Scan to Network Folder" provides "Cannot communicate with Computer"

or something like that.

If I use Print & Scan Doctor (as advised) then to HP Programs/8720/ HP Scans  - The document scans

and is sent to the folder that had been set up. "it sort of works"  but not as it should.

Can't seem to be able to enable the "Scan to Computer" feature.

My guess is that this problem is causing the lack of communication betweek the

printer and computer when trying to set-up "Scan to Network Folder"

Fixed it myself by deleting program and reloading the driver

software. NOT resetting Factory Settings. Tried that earlier

and it did not change.
