Microsoft Windows 11

Hello HP Community,

I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdn, and I'm experiencing an issue where printed pages come out with vertical smudges on the right side. The marks are identical on each page and look like they’re caused by a roller or some round component that leaves a stain as it rotates.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Replaced all toner cartridges with new ones.
  • Cleaned accessible areas inside the printer as thoroughly as I could.

Despite these steps, the issue persists. Has anyone encountered this problem before? What would you recommend I do next to resolve it?

Thanks in advance for your help!hp.jpg

Most likely the fuser. You will need to remove it to see the rollers properly. Check YouTube for videos on how to take apart.
