I have a new printer--used it fr a few months--it worked fine--now it is not being recognized by my laptop. Contacted printer co/Canon--they sent me a new printer--same error and won't finish installing the printer--both printers are not being recognized as being connected to my laptop--it can't be the printers fault so what is gong on with my lap top? tried using different usb ports on the lap top and it makes no difference. My add on mouse device quit working on here as well.

This is pretty off topic in this thread.
It would appear that your USB ports on the laptop are not working properly. (I am assuming the external mouse also uses the USB ports?). You do not mention the laptop model or your operating system so it is a bit difficult to offer advise. If it is Windows something I would suggest looking in Device Manager and see if there is a yellow warning next to one or mode of the USB devices. If so it may help to delete the devices and then "scan for hardware changes" to let Windows reinstall the device.

I have a LJ P1606dn attached directly to my Dell Inspiron 580 computer running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit). I have tried most settings on the duplex option, but my 2nd page is printed upside down. Help.

I have en HP Deskjet 9800d.
It works perfectly on my Windows XP.
BUT on my Window 7 (64) laptop, i have problems with printing duplex.
I use Microsoft Publisher 2007 and are making Newsletters. With page 1+4 on one side and page 2+3 on the other, like a book.
On XP I choose printer properties and Ordinary daily printing and choose landscape and A3 and duplex automatic.
On Windows 7 I can't choose landscape. I can only choose portrait.
Then I choose duplex in Publisher. And then the print is not centered on the page. Page one is almost OK, but page two is printed several centimeres of. And I cannot use it.
When I no longer have Windows XP, I really have a big problem.
I hope you have a solution for me.

I have a HP Laserjet P1606dn printer. When I print to it from a VISTA machine, the back page prints upside down. It works fine from my WIndows 7 machines. It seems there were patches for many other machines, but I did not see one for this printer. Is there a patch available to fix this printing problem?
