I have an OJ6500 AiO, wirelessly connected to a win vista computer. Automatic 2-sided printing is on. When I print a document from peachtree accounting software and I want 2 copies of the document, it will print on the front and back side of the paper, not on 2 sheets of paper. Another issue is when I print a word document and I want multiple copies of the document, the printer will print multiple copies but every other page will come out with bottom side of the document towards me, it appears that it flip-flops the every other page. When automatic 2-sided printing is off, the printer works fine. How can I resolve the issue with automatic 2-sided printing on?

My issue is Vista duplex issue - 2nd side upside down no matter what the settings. I looked at the patches available and also looked for patches under my product name (C309a), but nothing seems to be available, so I guess I'm out of luck. Let me know if there are other options. (The posts by Bob Hedrick were helpful, just didn't solve the problem for my product). [text removed for privacy]

I have an HP Photosmart Premium C309a all in one printer/fax/copier. When I printer double-sided, the 0.5 inch footer in cut-off about 50% on the odd-numbered pages. My PC has Windows 7 64-bit. Is there a way to correct this without changing the footer margin?

There is a checkbox for "flip pages up". Check or uncheck this to change the orientation of the back side.

There are a large number of issues in this very long thread. What exactly is "the same issue" you are having? Please post some details.

I have MS Vista with an HP Laserjet 4000 with PS and the duplexing unit. I followed all of the instructions to setup the duplex unit and that was fine. When I went to seup the Printing Preferences the Features tap does not exist in Vista so was unable to complete the work around. I am still unable to see any options grayed out or otherwise to duplex and can not. Now what?

When I print using two sided the printer cuts off the top half of the second side. It misses several lines of print. If I print the same document and do not make it two sided it prints properly. If I try to print 4 pages two sided - it will print the first one, bottom half of the second and then leave it in the print q with an error????

Hello
I have recently installed an officejet Pro 8500A and was ever so impressed when I went straight to the easy menu and set up duplex printing. Unfortunately when the printer turns the paper over (I am printing on A5) it starts printing on the back side of the paper about 5-10mm lower than on the front page. It seems to be feeding the paper too far before it starts printing on the second side. Any suggestions? Perhaps I am missing something in the set up?
Thanks in advance for any help
Helen

The printer actually prints the back side from the bottom up rather than top down, so on the back side the normally larger bottom margin becomes the top margin. You will typically need top and bottom margins of at least 12mm to avoid the margins shifting. Also try checking and unchecking the "preserve layout" button in the properties to set up duplex printing.
