I have had the same issue on my Office Jet L7590 which is a number of years old, just goes to show you how long this has been an issue with HP printers.
If anyone knows of a fix for the L7590 I sure would appreciate hearing from you.
Just don't tell me to download the lasted updates as I did that when I wanted to hook up the printer to a network and I then spent the next six days getting the old software to work again since I never could get the updated software to load properly.
Way to go HP! It's a shame that they make great printers but suck bigtime at software. Next printer will be anything but an HP.

Thanks for getting back to me @wml52. I checked the printer specifications and it shows the bottom margin must be a minimum of 0.63 inches. Assuming you feeding the envelope in with the flap to the right, the return address would then be printed on the bottom of the envelope (If I am visualizing this right), anyway, what I am thinking is changing the way you feed the envelope in and modifying the feed settings in the print dialog box. The top margin must be a minimum of 0.13 inches, thus if you put the envelope in and change the feed orientation we may be able to get the return address on the envelope as you would expect it to appear.
Not sure if my thought process will be easy to follow, so if you require further explanation, please send me a screenshot of your print envelope options. It might look something like this:
I look forward to hearing back from you, and like yourself, I'm eager to see this resolved. Thanks.

Hi @wml52,
I'd be happy to help you with your Officejet L7590. I understand that when you print on no. 10 envelopes part of the return address is cut off. What program are you printing from, and have you tried an alternate program? I suspect we will need to change the print margins to allow the printer to feed the paper properly and print the return address as expected.
In addition to letting me know what program you are printing from, please also check your current print margins and let me know what they are set to.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing back from you.

I am using Microsoft Word. When the margins are set to "Auto" it cuts off a portion of the return address. The only way to not have the return address cut off is to manually set the margin to 0.7" but then it positions the return address so far in from the left that it looks ridiculous. I have had this issue since I purchased the printer.
Any help in fixing the problem would be appreciated.

This solution has not worked for me. I'm using an OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus and Microsoft Word 2016. I'm using the correct margins and envelope options and it still cuts off the return address. I choose Options from the Envelopes and Labels screen and choose Add to Document as I am attempting to create a return envelope template with our company logo. It prints but brings the return address over to more than an inch on the left margin. It looks ridiculous. I have not found a work around after researching and trying fixes for days. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello, @Nik150
Thanks for reaching out! I'd like to help 🙂
I understand that you are facing issues while printing envelope #10 on your Officejet 8600 printer. I would suggest the steps mentioned below to try and fix the issue:
- Go to Control panel – Devices and printers.
- Right-click on Officejet 8720 and select “Printing preferences”.
- Under the Paper/Quality or Layout tab, select the paper size and make sure you select the correct envelope #
- Apply and save the settings.
Now, try changing the paper settings as mentioned here to print the envelopes: http://hp.care/2gmGFqw
Check the “Frequently asked questions”, follow the steps under “How do I print envelopes with Microsoft Word?”
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Good luck 🙂

Hi! @Nik150, I am the MrRobot. It looks like you were interacting with @Dvortex, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.
Kudos to you for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned even after trying out the steps the issue still persists.
Please try the steps recommended below.
Select Size 11 in options with a Size 10 envelope and using the using the adjustments to place the return address 1.2" from the left and 0.5" from the top to print a Size 10 envelope with the return address in the correct position.
Let me know if this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Hello, @Nik150
Thanks for the update!
Try to reinstall the drivers and then try changing the print settings again. Here are the steps:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click on http://hp.care/2lvuSIa to download and install the printer drivers.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Now, restart the PC and then follow the steps mentioned above by @Sunshyn2005 to change the paper settings and then try to print the envelope.
Let me know if that helps!
Cheers 🙂
