HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer

I tried to print a single page doc and my printer turned into a disco ball. Every light is flashing and the app says it’s offline. I’ve tried every fix I could find online and nothing works. I also can’t turn it off using the power button. The only thing that works is unplugging it.

It sounds like your HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer is experiencing a hardware or firmware issue that's causing it to display all lights flashing and become unresponsive. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem.

 

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and try turning it on.

Check for Paper Jams or Blockages:

  • Open all access doors and check for any paper jams or foreign objects that might be causing the issue.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • If you can get the printer to connect to the network, try updating the firmware. You can do this through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP website.

Check Connections:

  • Ensure that all cables are securely connected, including the power cord and any data cables if applicable.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings:

  • If the above steps don’t work, you might need to perform a factory reset. This can often be done through the printer’s menu or by following specific steps provided by HP for your model.

 

Since you mentioned that you can't turn off the printer using the power button and only unplugging it works, this suggests a more serious issue with the printer's control system.
