We're trying to set up my HP Officejet Pro 8500a wirelessly to my daughter-in-law's laptop.  They printer says it connected to the internet, but it's not and my other devices can't find it by the printer IP address or host name.  The laptop keeps saying that the IP address on the printer is a generic one.  We've restarted everything and nothing is working.

Hi,

Could you please let me know the exact IP Address of the printer?

 

Click the Wireless icon at the side of the screen and the IP Address should be listed.
