Hi @fiid2233,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP DeskJet 4122e setup. The "door open" error can be frustrating, but let's try to troubleshoot the issue step by step.

  • Double-Check All Doors and Covers: Ensure that all doors, covers, and paper trays are securely closed. Even a slightly open door or cover can trigger this error.
  • Power Cycle the Printer: Sometimes, a power cycle can resolve minor glitches. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for Jammed Paper: Open all doors and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects inside the printer. Remove any obstructions carefully.
  • Inspect Sensors: There might be sensors or switches inside the printer that detect whether doors or covers are open. Ensure that these sensors are not obstructed and are functioning correctly.
  • Restart the Setup Process: If the error still persists after checking the physical aspects of the printer, you may want to restart the setup process from the beginning. Follow the setup instructions provided with the printer carefully.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve compatibility issues and bugs.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
