My printer only prints in yellow and black. I put a new cyan cartridge in and the magenta and yellow are almost full. Black is full.  I did the following test and it came out in black and yellow with light amount of magenta and absolutely no blue.

I found this on a post from Sandy and now I don't know what to do or try first. Never had any problems like this before but I need to print in color. What can I try??

So I cleaned the printhead but it didn't work and I got message:

"ALignment failed. Refer to device documentation for details."

A color test page came out with black, yellow, scratchy magenta and no blue.

looking at the color hoses(?) it looks like there is an air bubble in the blue one.

You will need to get the Magenta/Cyan printhead replaced at least.

so i decided to open up and look at printheads and low and behold, i must have replaced the yellow and black in june 2016 (i had date on it) and then I remembered seeing the magenta blue printhead in my drawer. Didn't realize what it was before. so i just inserted and waiting to see if it solved the problem... its checking device

now it says its aligning printer..but its not making any noise.... just taking a long time. I just can't believe I had the printhead. I saw it the other day and honestly thought I bought the wrong ink cartridge.

Its kind of stalled... Its just sucking down all my new ink. Its coming back to me now. When i had to replace the yellow black printhead, by the time it was done it used 75% of the ink I had.

**bleep**. its just sucking down my ink, don't shut off. half my cyan is gone, yellow and magenta is at 25% and black is at 50%. No wonder I forgot about this. I only buy hp 940xl ink so the pos just used at least $100 worth of ink.

I do appreciate your help, so thank you. Not taking it out on you, just venting...

edit... lol... it bleeped "wheres the fish"
