HP Recommended

HP 2800e printer.  New.  Worked perfectly when I set it up but I moved it yesterday to be nearer my desk.  It now shows door open when I try to print.  The door is not open.  I've opened and shut it several times.  I've turned the printer on and off several times.  What more can I do?

This was really helpful.  I tried copying from the glass and it copied.  After that the printer connected to my laptop and I stopped receiving the error message door open.  ??? Don't understand why it should work but it did.

If it happens again driver reinstallation will help.

There is nothing wrong with the printer, problem is in the computer/driver.
