Hi @WRubin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 5530 printer can only load a few sheets and more than that causes it to print blank pages and jam, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check the paper tray: Make sure that the paper in the tray is stacked neatly and not exceeding the maximum capacity. The maximum capacity of the tray is typically indicated by a mark or label on the tray. Also, make sure that the paper is aligned correctly in the tray.
  • Clean the paper feed rollers: Over time, the paper feed rollers can accumulate dust and debris, which can cause the paper to slip and jam. To clean the rollers, turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Then, open the printer cover and use a lint-free cloth moistened with water or rubbing alcohol to clean the rollers. Be sure to let the rollers dry completely before closing the cover and turning the printer back on.
  • Reset the printer: Sometimes, resetting the printer can help to resolve issues like this. To reset the printer, turn it off and unplug it from the power source. Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Update the printer driver: If the issue persists, try updating the printer driver to the latest version. You can do this by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest driver for your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
