Hi @Miyujin,
As HP Deskjet F2423 All-in-One Printer is a very old unit, the full feature drivers are not available.
Please follow the steps listed in this weblink to install the windows built-in drivers.
Let me know if this helps and have a nice day ahead.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

to anyone having problems with their own VERY OLD printers.
Just google and find your printer's driver somewhere on the internet. I myself just googled "hp deskjet f2423 software download". It will not be on the official HP Webpages if you cant find it there but it will be SOMEWHERE uploaded on the internet. It may be in a driver database website or something.
I managed to find my drivers and install them on my Windows 11 laptop. The latest drivers i could find for my printer was year 2013 old and i was able to use my printer/scanner successfully. The install file already included the driver and software.
Thanks for the help, i guess.

Hi @CJS1987,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
I understand that you are getting an EBS00P0004 error, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.
The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an Accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

I have the same issue. Mine is the hp envy 6455e but online has always showed it as hp envy 6400. Same error code. Please I've tried everything my warranty is still current. This has been a major inconvenience.

I need help with the same issue. I've tried everything I've come across online. I've already unplugged from wall and back of printer and replugged. That does not solve it. I've received the same error message repeatedly
