I simply cannot find how to open ink cartridge door

Thank you for all the info. I did search many guides, etc, but nothing said 'how to' open the cartridge door or what it looks like -  about a foot long, three in. high part in front of cartridges, that is the door. NOTHING tells you to pull hard, feels like something is going to break, that is what you have to do. Very simple but impossible if not knowing.  Discovered this after much fooling around.

Thanks again for trying to help.

Greetings @Marvy79, I am the @Chimney_83. It looks like you were interacting with @DavidSMP, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.

Thanks for the reply and I am glad that you were able to replace the cartridges.

Yes, the clamps that hold the cartridges are a little tight. This is to make sure that the cartridges move correctly and you get a good print out.

Please do post your technical queries on our Forums for assistance.

I've had exactly the same problem -- on 2 HP7612s. Like you the first time I must have spent an hour before plucking up courage to open the door with a flat-bladed screwdriver! I've had to do that every time I change a cartidge for the last 2 years.

I put it down to the printer being a rogue ... but today, having bought a second one (because it's great - apart from this craxz cartridge door - and good value for money) I find that 2 years on the printer is still being sold with what I would say is a clear design fault.
