Hi, my HP 6520 all-in-one printer will not scan or copy. The light bar does not advance from under the edge. The printer prints fine. Is there anything that I should check?

Hi camfordyce,

It appears that there may be a physical problem witht e scanning mechanism that is proventing the scanning bar from moving.

 

The printer probably needs some form of service intervention.  I do not know if your printer is still under warranty.

I have the same problem, and cannot check the warranty properly because the page says the P/N is 6-7 characters, but mine is only 5 before the "-". What can I do? Can you just give me a step by step guide so that I can DIY?
