when i printed a series of photos on the envy 7855, some photos had horizontal lines acroos the picture.  i am using genuine hp ink and hp photo paper.    not all of the photos has these lines, maybe 9 out of 20.  the printer seems to hesitate while printing  but not for all photos.  this seems to be random.  how do i correct this

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Does this happen while copying and printing other documents? What is the size of the photo you're trying to print and what photo paper size?

Please follow this document to help you print photos: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-photo-7800-all-in-one-printer-series/9073159/model/9073...

i was printing 8x11 11 photos on 8.5x 11hp photo paper.  i printed about 18 photos in the same session. only about half of them had these lines and it was ramdom through the session.  this does not happen when printing black and white or color documents

Did you try the steps from the link given in my previous post on how to print photos and choosing the right settings?
