My printer is HP Deskjet 2752e. I have put new ink cartridges in black and colors   It runs the test page and then the colored light keeps blinking and it won't do anything. What could be wrong.

Hi @Selma25

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP DeskJet 2752e is running the test page but the color light keeps blinking afterward, the issue might be related to the ink cartridges or alignment.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check the Ink Cartridges

  • Proper Installation: Ensure both cartridges are seated correctly in their slots. Open the ink cartridge access door and confirm they click into place.
  • Remove and Reinstall: Take out the cartridges and reinsert them securely to ensure proper contact with the printer.

2. Inspect Cartridges for Issues

  • Protective Tape: Verify that you've removed the protective plastic tape from the copper-colored electrical contacts on the cartridges.
  • Damaged Contacts: Examine the cartridges for any damage or ink residue on the contacts and gently clean them with a lint-free cloth and distilled water if necessary.

3. Check for Alignment Requirement

  • After installing new cartridges, the printer may require an alignment process:
    • Place the printed test page on the scanner bed.
    • Follow the alignment instructions displayed on the printer or HP Smart App.

4. Printer Reset

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue resolves.

5. Ensure Compatibility

  • Confirm that the ink cartridges are compatible with the HP DeskJet 2752e. Using non-original or incompatible cartridges can cause blinking indicator lights.

6. Update the Printer Firmware

  • Connect the printer to your computer and use the HP Support website to check for any firmware updates that could address potential compatibility or operational issues.

7. HP Smart Diagnostics

  • Use the HP Smart App to check for error messages or run diagnostics. It can help identify whether there's an issue with the cartridges or printer hardware.
