@fbuckiii, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer is having trouble printing in color after installing it on a new Windows 11 computer, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Settings:
- Ensure that color printing is enabled in the printer settings.
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP ENVY 4520 and select Printing Preferences.
- Verify that the option for color printing is selected.
2. Update Printer Driver:
- Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed for Windows 11.
- Visit the HP Driver Download Page for HP ENVY 4520 and download the latest drivers.
- Install the updated driver and restart your computer.
3. Check Ink Cartridges:
- Make sure that both black and color ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
- Inspect the cartridges for any leaks or damage.
4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose and resolve potential issues with your printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the tool.
5. Clean Printhead:
- Use the printer’s control panel to clean the printhead to ensure there are no clogs affecting color printing.
- Navigate to the Setup menu on the printer, select Printer Maintenance, and then choose Clean Printhead.
6. Reset Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds and then plug it back in and turn it on.
7. Verify Printer Configuration:
- Check if the printer is correctly set up on the new computer.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Ensure your HP ENVY 4520 printer is connected.
I hope this helps.
