Hi,

 

Ive had my printer for over 4 years, never had any problem till now. Replaced ink but have error message saying replace ink cartridge.

Please help

@kiki79, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand the new ink cartridge is not working. 

  • Make sure you use HP ink cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the functionality of non-HP ink cartridges.
  • Insert one ink cartridge at a time to identify the defective ink cartridge.

Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error

 

Insert the old ink cartridge and check for the error. If no error, then the new one is defective

 

If the error persists with 2 different ink cartridges, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the defective HP ink cartridges or the printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
