Hi @kikara,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The issue you're experiencing with your HP Smart Tank 670 All-in-One, where the printed photo size is increasing by 0.5 units in both height and width, could be related to several factors, such as scaling settings, printer driver issues, or page setup settings. Here's how you can troubleshoot and resolve this.

Check the Scaling Settings in Print Dialog:

  • When printing from Photoshop, Paint, or Word, ensure that there is no scaling applied.
  • In the print dialog box, look for an option such as "Scale to Fit," "Fit to Page," or "Custom Scaling."
  • Disable any scaling and make sure the scale is set to 100% or "Actual Size."

Set the Correct Page Size in Printer Settings:

  • In the printer settings, make sure that the correct paper size is selected, matching the paper in your printer.
  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click your HP Smart Tank 670 > Printer Properties > Preferences.
  • Under Paper/Quality or Layout, confirm that the paper size is accurately set to what you are using (e.g., A4, Letter, etc.).

Check for Image Size in Photoshop:

  • In Photoshop, check the image size by going to Image > Image Size and ensure that the dimensions are set correctly.
  • Make sure the resolution (DPI) is appropriate for printing (typically 300 DPI for high-quality prints).

Check Printer Driver Settings:

  • Ensure that you are using the latest printer driver for the HP Smart Tank 670.
  • Visit the HP Support website to download and install the most up-to-date drivers for your printer.

Print Test from Another Application:

  • Try printing the same image using different applications to see if the issue persists across all programs.
  • This can help identify if it's specific to Photoshop or related to the printer's driver and setup.

Try Different Paper Type Settings:

  • Sometimes incorrect paper type settings (like using "Photo Paper" when printing on regular paper) can affect scaling.
  • Ensure that the paper type selected in the printer settings matches the actual paper you're using.

Reset the Printer Settings:

  • You may also try resetting the printer to its default settings and reconfiguring it.
  • You can do this by accessing the printer’s settings menu or performing a factory reset.

After trying these steps, attempt to print the image again and check if the sizing issue has been resolved.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
