HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer - E910a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

the printer is installed and everything has been updated and tested but when i try to print a document is says printer offline or cannot connect. the test print from print doctor works fine and all the other diagnostic tests do too.  it was working fine until the recent windows updates and its happened before after updates.  i have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice and the same issue continues

I suggest you uninstall the HP software and driver using the below method.
· In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
· Select your HP printer.
· Select Uninstall.
· In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
· In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
· Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + r" key combo.
· Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
· Click on Drivers tab.
· Look for HP printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
· Select OK.
· Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
· Close Devices and Printers.

Reboot the computer.

thanks for that. unfortunately it didnt work.

i completely unstalled and deleted everything then reinstalled it fresh. i used the usb this time and it installed it all and said printer was ready to go. i tried to print a document and the error code "0x800706be Your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem"  came up. i tried it again this time with wireless connection and exactly the same.

i run troubleshooter and it tells me to make printer my default so i do. no change.

i check printer properties and printer preferences and it tells me "you do not have access to this printer. some of the tabs will be missing".

when i click ok to try and shange the permissions so i have full access it says access denied and wont let me change it.

as i said i have been using my printer wirelessly and via sb for quite some time. after windows does major updates it almost always causes havoc with it but not like this is now. its incredibly frustrating.

Have you checked the Windows system files?

do you mean have i deleted the files for the printer? yeah i did check them for that

i'm not 100 per cent sure how to change it so it gives me access to the properties and settings because when i go into advanced settings under administrator, it wont allow me to apply the changes

No, there is a command to verify the system files.

It is sfc /scannow

Run it from a command prompt with admin privileges.

yes i had already done that scan. i ended up contacting HP support via chat. after doing all the same things i had, they told me to contact microsoft as it was an issue with windows. after 2 hours online with microsoft telling me it needed to be rebooted and the issue would be fixed,

i then spent a further2 hours trying to get my laptop to get past the blue screen error that happened as soon as i powered up. i couldnt even login to my home screen. it wouldnt let me restore it from the automated repair screen either. whatever he "fixed" caused that. so needless to say i had to install windows again from an iso on a harddrive and now the printer still wont run from here.
