Hi @whenchy,
Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I noticed your post that you cannot print properly on card paper with your HP Envy 5532 printer. I am happy to look into this for you!
What is the size and weight of the card paper you are using?
Have you tried any other card sizes of paper?
In the meantime, please try a hard reset, by following the steps in this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet, and not a surge protector.
Remember to please return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.

Hi whenchy,
Thank you for your reply!
According to the printer's specifications, this is an unsupported card size for this printer model. Which could be the reason why it is not printing properly. The support types and sizes of cards are:
3 x 5 in Index - 76.2 x 127 mm (3 x 5 in)
4 x 6 in Index - 101.6 x 152 mm (4 x 6 in)
5 x 8 in Index - 127 x 203.2 mm (5 x 8 in)
As a workaround, you can try to assign an alternate driver by following the steps in this post, How to Assign Alternate Print Drivers in Different Versions of Windows, by @Shane_R. (The steps for Windows 8 will work on Windows 10.) Then try a custom paper size.
If this does not resolve the issue, try using one of the above sizes instead.

Hope this information is helpful, and have a nice day! 🙂
