I've been getting the same message and tried to re-set my printer and change cartridges but doesn't help. problem w/black ink.

Responded to your message yesterday...awaiting your response. My issue is, black ink as well and I don't understand how forcing out new cartridges will help unless this is a system issue (some change made with cartridges recently) because I changed my cartridge and still have the same issue. Only temp fix I have discovered is to lift the top (like I'm going to change the ink) and let it back down. The error will come back up but if I lift it a second time the doc will finish printing. my printer is an hp envy 7640

I am having the same trouble. the ink cartridge feels full but repeatedly tells me to reinstall it.

Can you activate a replacement [black] cartridge for my printer?

Hi! I am having this exact same issue for black ink - instant ink account [edited]. Could I have a replacement cartridge sent? When I got to my printer tonight it had an assortment of odd characters, but I restarted it and didn't think much of it until it wouldn't allow me to use the black cartridge.
