Hello. I printed several documents using only black ink when my cyan cartridge needed replacing. After doing this several times I got a message "printer failure. problem with the printer or ink system." I replaced the empty cartridge. Now I get the message "one or more cartridges appear to be damaged." I replaced that cartridge again. Same message. I replaced all the cartridges with new ones (I had a backup box). Same message. I have followed all the steps on the HP site, updated the firmware, unplugged, plugged, etc. What to do? Did I mess up the print head by not replacing that empty cartridge immediately? Thanks.

@kkpres, Welcome to HP Support Community!
If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Hope this helps!
