smart tank 570 plus random print cartridge errors

New (3 weeks old) HP Smart tank 570 plus, throws  random print cartridge errors,  randomly reports wrong paper size half way through an A4 print job and occasionally just abandons printing. This is a replacement for a HP office Jet Pro 620 that had given five years error free service (apart form the odd paper jam). Since this is a relatively new technology printer for HP have they focused on the ink tank technology and not properly tested the printer functionality.? Or is this a one off and other users are not seeing these issues?
