Hi! @frustrated214

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from the printer?

Have you tried printing from a different application?

Have you tried printing using a different ink cartridge?

Are you using HP genuine ink cartridges to print?

Check the ink level on your printer and replace the low or empty ink cartridge.

Please use the Automated Tool to clean the Print head

  1. On the home screen of the printer control panel, touch the right arrow  to display the second navigation screen.

  2. Touch the Setup icon .

    The Setup Menu displays.

  3. Touch the down arrow , and then touch Tools.

  4. Touch Clean Printhead. The printer cleans the printhead, and then prints out a test page.

  5. Evaluate the test page for print quality.

Figure : Example of the printhead cleaning test page

Image: Example of the printhead cleaning test page.
    • If the print quality on the test page is satisfactory, touch No to return to the current print job.

    • If the print quality on the test page is not satisfactory, touch Yes to perform a secondary cleaning of the printhead.

There are two printhead cleaning stages. Complete both stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the second cleaning cycle to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.

I am having this exact issue with my printer. Please help!  I even purchased and replaced the printhead.  I followed all the instructions provided by hp support and yet It still won't print black.

HP Recommended

I have the same problem. It does not print in black in no matter what I do. I've even uninstalled software and reinstalled it, tried cleaning the heads numerous times.

Also, it also does NOT align the print heads. I've taken the cartridges out and reinstalled them many many times. Cleaned connections, etc. But, nothing helps and it doesn't matter if I print from my PC or try to make a copy from the platen.

Also, it removed and soaked the print head in 71% alcohol for 2 days and this did NOT help at all.

But I did not yet install a NEW print head AND have Never received a print head error.

Ink levels showing full. Diagnostic says OK.

But I cannot connect to ePrint, even though I can initiate printing from my phone.

Can you help?

HP Recommended

No, this did not help at all.  Why would it suddenly stop printing?  It prints the test page okay, but that's it.  Frustrated!
