I set up my new 7612 yesterday and everytime I try to webscan I get the dreaded error 'You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. For more information, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the printer. As these images show webservices clearly are no disabled, otherwise I wouldn't be able to access the printer via a browser 🙂Front Web Page
Webscan error
scanning via network using printer App
How do I make this printer work as it should? It would appear that this is a common error unfortunately, there are no common solutions offered and those 'solutions' that are shown are mostly contradictory with one saying rest and the next one saying do not reset, one saying open up the manage scan, and the next one saying that there is no manage scan on the interface (same problem I see, no manage scan available in panel)
as you can see here the webservices are enabled, in fact everthing is enabled - so why the error?
What is the solution please?

Hi,
Please try checking the box next to Enable All under Administrator Settings and click Apply, then select Scan and check for any difference.
Please let me know the results if that may make any difference, else I will provide you with some additional steps to try privately.

Well, it has worked - the second time I did it 🙂
The first time it disabled a pile of services but rather than enable them one by one I unchecked the box and then rechecked it. Second time everything’s working correctly
thank you 😊
