Hi!

I see a lot of questions about changing from Glasbed to ADF.

But the answers are only for one time use.

I want to change the default source to ADF, when starting a scan.

I did use WIN10 32 before, and had no problems, ADF were set as default.

But after upgrading to 64 bit, it is not possible to change the default.

How do I set ADF to be default??

Ahh, I see.

I had to let the scan go all the way, and do an actual save.

Then it keeps the destination folder.

Man I am glad and happy now :-).

Thanks so much.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Under the HP Scan software, just select te Source to be "Use document feeder if loaded" and it will be the default.  Example:

Scan double sided.jpg

For more scanning tips, click here.

Hope that helps!

Hi, and thanks a lot for your reply.

However, this is the same solution, I have seen in many other replies.
But it does not help.

If I scan another document, its back to the flat glass bed as default.

I can not change it so ADF works as default.

Scanning issues…

Please try this scan solution:   Save your settings as a NEW shortcut.

HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options.

Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

Hi there!

First solution did't work.

Fantastic program, that EXT program.

It solved the problem, BUT caused another one 🙂

Sorry for not being completely happy.

I did find page 2 under ajustments, and changed the destination folder, where to put the output from the scan.

I do have a folder for all my scannings.

But starting the program again, its back to"documents" under my user in C:

Is it possible to have a default destination folder in this program??

Thanks again

Kim

Yes it is.  Just change the save to folder.
