Hello,

 

my printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8500a A910a has active firmware LRP1FN1231AR in the active update from 8.12.2021 is a firmware LRP1FN1621BR that will not install.

 

Is that a reason for my scan problems? How may I solve the conflict?

the scanner works again see Sccanner communicatio .
But the question for active firmware is still open.

The latest firmware version is OJP8500_A910a_1621B.exe for this printer model.

I again tried to install the update, but it shows "not applicable" and does not do anything.

Are you able to check with the serial number?

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Thanks #Sandytechy20,

it does not work, I only get a virtual agent, but no form or ticket number.
The On-line support calls the virtual agent, that  does not understand the problem and an additional  link for options does not exist on the german site.
