Printer: HP Envy 110 e-All-in-one, connected to my network via WIFI
Computer: MacBook Air 2018, Mac OS 10.15.7, connected to my network via a dock with an ethernet connection
Recently I lost the ability to scan from the Mac using the Envy 110.
I get an error -21345 when I try, it appears there is some sort of failure to communicate between the devices, but it prints fine on the network.
1. I have tried resetting the "printing system" on the MacBook as suggested in the forums, but that did correct the problem.
2. I have tried looking for the Envy 110 driver on the HP Support site, and they do not seem to have a driver for my current Mac OS version.

The solution is to download (and install) this package which will update drivers AND THE CERTIFICATE:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...
If the link comes up blank, try right clicking and saving it.
Easy Admin did nothing. Easy Startup did nothing. 5.1 drivers did nothing. This worked for me!
If this solved your issue, please thumbs up and mark as solved!

You did mention that the "Certificate" gets updated.
If you mean the security certificate, I still get popup warning that the connection between my MacBook and the printer are not secure.
Did I miss something about how to upload a new certificate to the printer?

The issue you (and many, many others are having) are due to the expiration of an old "code signing" certificate. Your printer is fine, it's the Mac that was borked.
