I have a HP Deskjet 3630 wifi all-in-one. The printer is still OK but the scan function seems to have packed up. It has worked OK in the past but when I tried to use it today nothing happened - when I clicked on 'scan' there is no response. Nor is there an error message.
I've tried all the usual unplugging/turning on and off/ replugging etc but to no avail.
Can someone please help?

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Deskjet 3630 Printer. I understand that you are getting scanner issue and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
Open the scanner lid, initiate scanning and check if the scanner light is lit up and moving across the scanner glass?
Meanwhile:
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.
Cheers.

Hi,
You're welcome. 🙂
as @sandytechy20 is out of the office today, I'm replying to you.
If the scanner bulb is off even after connecting the printer directly to the wall outlet, indicates that the scanner has failed.
I suggest you to contact our HP phone support to check the available service options for your HP printer.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. All the best! 🙂
