I have just sent two scanned pages attached to an email & noticed that they had come off my printed page allowance. As I don't actually print anything - then why?

Welcome to the HP Forums.
If you are referring to your Instant Ink plan, printing pages are counted not scans to file.
This document will offer some clarity to how pages are counted.
