We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

This would only work for a one page document. And in my case I need PDFs that are 2 or 3 pages long.

Marcia, which technique do you mean? The Image Capture? That worked for multiple pages if I checked "Combine into single document". Also made sure the name given to pdf was unique.

Thank you.  That was very helpful.

Thank you, Budtanton

Saving to PDF/A in the dialogue box works.

It creates a PDF file, as before, and can be used to make a multiple-page document.
In my opinion, it is the only acceptable solution.

It is highly annoying, however, that neither Apple nor HP anticipated this problem.
Instead, users/clients, like us, have been unfairly landed with the stress of finding a band-aid fix.

To scan a multiple page document in one go to a single file with HP Easy Scan on Ventura I have only found one solution:

Scan in EasyScan. In the bottom right corner of the application, click Send then choose Printer.... In the Print dialog box click on PDF then choose where to save the files and Save.

If you use Save... in EasyScan then

PDF Format without PDF/A and with Save all items to a single file you get multiple blank pages.

PDF Format with PDF/A and with Save all items to a single file you get the first page saved properly then the rest are blank pages.

PDF-Searchable Format without PDF/A and with Save all items to a single file you get the first page saved properly then the rest are blank pages.

PDF-Searchable Format with PDF/A and with Save all items to a single file you get the first page saved properly then the rest are blank pages.

You can save with PDF/A without using 'Save all items to a single file' then you get multiple files to stitch together once they are saved, which is a nuisance

PS. I'm using version Version 1.11.0 (210909). Using Check for updates in the app sends you to the Mac App store, which suggests you download version 1.10.0 (ie a previous version).....

I have found that using the checkbox "PDF/A" does work; however, when opening the PDF file in Acrobat Pro, you can not do things such as compress files, because the file is now "protected."

What's the solution for this matter? I see that some folks are saying Easy Scan but what do I need to do about that?

Thank yo

Hello

I can't find the checkbox "PDF/A" in the preferences of Easy Scan (see below)

Also when I choose PDF-Searchable I have the following error

Please help 🙏

Thanks

To find PDF/A -- After you scan the item using HP Easy Scan you then go to the "Send" option in the bottom right and click on that and then click on "Folder". Then a screen pops up where you can check a box that says PDF/A. Hope this helps.

But you can also click on "Printer" rather than "Folder" then in bottom left click on PDF then click on Save as PDF and that works also.

Got it !

Thanks

PDF/A doesn't work for me (Easy scan crashes) but send to printer does.

But with this solution you need to use Easy scan and it is way more complicated than just using the scan from the printer itself and use the "Send to computer" button.

Do you have an idea for my second question and this language error that I have when I selected PDF-searchable ?

Thanks !

Thomas
