My HP Scanner is not communicating with my MacBook, OS Sonoma latest version. I have already followed all advice (e.g., I removed printer and reinstalled with latest software, drivers. I updated my Mac OS software.) Nothing has helped. Can this be fixed? Is this an Apple issue?

I resolved my issue. I downloaded the HP Smart Desktop app and used the scan function in the app instead. The app communicates with the printer just fine and I was able to scan and save my documents. But do not scan directly from your Mac. That doesn't work.

I did the same and that does work, but that does not totally solve the issue. I want to scan directly from the scanner to the computer where the scanner finds the computer and sends the document, which is much more efficient. Any thoughts?
