Fixed it! Just took an hour out of my life! Oh well glad it's good to go. Was disappointed that a new printer would have problems

I am reading through these posts and I am wondering if I am having the same issues.  My problem is not with just a few lines on the paper, it is the whole page.  This problem occured only 2 days ago.  When I print, everything is normal.  When I copy/scan either on the glass or feeding it through, it comes out looking like a blown up barcode.  You cannot see anything of what I had intended to copy.  I did what you call a "hard reset" and unplugged my printer while it was still on.  I have since plugged it into an outlet instead of a power strip.  I have done all the maintenance and nothing seems to do the trick.  Would love some help, please!!!
