I havent had any issues using the scan to email option until recently. When I try to scan, it now gives me an error saying "Incorrect Username and password" I tried looking at the settings on my printer and on HP Smart and don't see any

The password to the email account needs to be an "app password".   The normal account password cannot be used

 

This is described here for g.mail but y.ahoo and a.tt also apply
