They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

So someone named Stephen_So-Me is asking for my serial number to help me. He claims to be an HP employee.  Here is the private message he sent me:

"Hello, 

Thank you for reaching out. I'm not sure about a pin, but you might just need to update your drivers and the software package. If you can provide the unit's serial number I can help with that.
