I have a new 8035 having replaced an HP i never had any trouble with including scan to email.This is obviously not a setting problem but a software problem. It would help if HP acknowledged the problem which is obviously happening too much and find a patch rather than allowing this flood of chats when there is not a fix. Really!

Having the same problem with HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 Series, Three In One Printer on a MacBook pro. 8035

It's clearly a software issue that HP doesn't want to address...."Here!  Buy our printer!  It's one of the best!"...then afterwards..."sorry, we know its a problem but can't fix it, thanks for your business, though!"

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

The other HP Support agent requested I send the serial numbers and printer information to him.  ?!?!?!

I'm getting really close to just packing the printer up and returning it.  HP Support is just not there to help.  Sorry, you've come into this late but I can see from others who have posted their dissatisfaction with the 8035 all-in-one printer...it's really not ready for market.

I have the same issue with an 8030, not connected to a PC.  Here's a workaround that worked for me:  use the HP Smart app to scan and email instead of the printer's touchscreen.  Not acceptable functionality, but it works for now.
