scanned document does not show up in email attachment

when i scan a document on an hp7645 printer to an email the attachment does not show up

Aha! Smaller batches! So just how many pages can you scan at a time?

Welcome to HP support community.

Are you getting any error message while scanning to email?

Meanwhile

Update the printer firmware

Refer this HP document for the steps to update the firmware:- Click here

Setup the scan to email again

1. Touch Scan, and then touch Email.

2. On the Welcome screen, touch Continue.

3. Touch in the Email: box to enter your email address, and then touch Done.

4. Touch Continue.

5. A PIN will be sent to the email address you entered. Touch Continue.

6. Touch the PIN to enter your PIN and then touch Done.

7. Touch Store Email or Auto-login, depending upon how you want the printer to store your login information.

8. Select your scan type by touching Photo or Document.

9. For photos, select the can settings, and touch Continue. For documents, continue with the next step.

10. Veriify the email information, and touch Continue.

11. Touch Scan to Email.

12. Touch OK when the scan completes, and then touch Yes to send another email, or No to finish.

No error message. There was just no attachment in the email. Scanning smaller batches did the trick but the question remains... How may pages can you scan at a time?

File size limitation may be dependable on the email that you a re using e.g. some email only allows max of 5MB attachments.

You can set to scan to a smaller file size (higher compression) from the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of your printer.

In order to get to the EWS, key in the IP address of your printer into a web browser and go to Scan to Email settings.
