Since you have already tried updating your drivers and running the HP AI Assistant diagnostic without success, the issue is likely rooted in Windows scaling conflicts or a physical hardware fault.[ref_1, ref_2]

Follow this step-by-step diagnostic path to isolate and resolve the issue.

Test for a Hardware vs. Software Fault

Before tweaking more settings, determine if the blurriness is caused by Windows or the actual physical screen panel.[ref_1]

  • Shut down your laptop completely.[ref_1]
  • Press the Power button, then immediately press the Esc key repeatedly (about once every second) until a startup menu appears.[ref_1]
  • Look closely at the text and menus in the BIOS:
  • If the screen is perfectly sharp in BIOS: The hardware is fine. The issue is entirely caused by a software setting inside Windows.

Let me know what you find out.
