I have reported all of these threads to HP Admins. I have been told that HP has communicated with Microsoft and they are working to resolve it.
I am simply the messenger so unable to give more details.

In reply to the latest post from CherylG, thanks, I have also reported the issue to both Microsoft and HP. I currently using the Windows Update tool named wushowhide (supposed to be from Microsoft, did speak to to the Microsoft level 2 tech after they elevated my case, they said they were aware of that software and it was ok to use it to hide the update). Glad to see from your post that they are working on it, hope they will fix it. A question to CherylG and anyone else who would know, would not the HP Support Assistant software that is on HP computers identify the updated driver when it becomes available? I have never had any problems installing drivers or other software that the HP Support Assistant lists as available, they all installed fine and continue to work fine.

Yes,HP SA should notify of new driver when available. You can also open it and check for updates manually every few weeks just to double check.

No, I am not an HP employee. I have the avatar because I am a member of a group known as> HP Expert Program.

This error has been showing for more than a week and retry does not solve the problem. Can HP and Microsoft please put their heads together and get it fixed. I suspect this error is preventing other updates from being applied. Clearly many peple have this issue and its been around for a long time.
