Well if it is the 2x vs 4x PCI lanes that would explain it. I have the Spectre x360 Convertible 15-ch0xx and even when I'm not running a game the keyboard restarts every few seconds its backlit so it's un-mistakable. Like another commented here I had to plug it in a usb hub connected to the type A connector. Also I can't even it the realtek ethernet port to even show up.

I also have the problem with the usb peripherals disconnecting and reconnecting.
I have a Lenovo laptop and don't have the x2 problem.
Is there any news on this?
In reaction to other problems I read here: I also had the problem where the LAN adapter was recognized as a CD drive. I finally fixed this by letting the IObit driver program find and install the correct driver.
Lastly; I have a SSD installed in the accel and installed games on this drive. When gaming from this drive I sometimes get a BSOD with the code STORE DATA STRUCTURE CORRUPTION. This is only when gaming and I can't find anything on the net about this issue. Anybody else experienced this problem?
Overal still very excited about this product. But the problems do cause alot of issues.
Thanks in advance

I also have a similar problem.
The Ethernet port works well, but the usb ports are in trouble.
(GTX 1060 GPU and 1TB drive also work fine.)
my mouse and keyboard flicker a lot, so that I can't use my laptop.
This is a problem that needs to be fixed.

it's just so weird that they ship this product globally yet there's only a few of us been complaining about this serious issue. might be a batch issue? or some region-specific part number issue? Just a guess.
Can anyone share your Omen's part number?
mine is 2CB67AA - i'm in Australia

I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT.
I went to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > PCI Express > Link State Power Management
I then switched "Plugged in" from "Maximum power savings" to "Off"
I also switched turned off "USB selective suspend setting" under "USB settings" but I think it was the PCI Express settings that fixed it.
I did this on the Huawei Matebook X Pro and it seems to have solved any input lag problems I had. I stumbled upon this solution by accident, when I was trying to figure out why my backlit keyboard was timing out. Let me know if this works for you!

Thanks for the Power Management tipps Ninjinka! This did not work for me with regard to the USB disconnect/reconnect problem in games. The settings you adjust refer to the local laptop, however the USB disconnect/reconnect problem is in the Omen Accelerator where we don't have such settings to adjust.
Today I had a long talk with a HP technican here in Germany! They confirmed the Omen Accelerator USB disconnect/reconnect problem as known! They told me the problem wasn't there in an earlier firmware version and it occurred with the current Accelerator firmware version which brought support for new processor models. They told me that a new firmware version that fixes the problem will be developed - however they could not tell me when this will be available.

Can't find any solution on web except waiting for a firmware update without any approx date of release. Again, what a shame.
I think you should directly contact HP using the offical support/hotline so that this problem gains momentum at HP. The more people do so, the better. Writing in an online forum and beeing outraged is of no use, the people responsible for that problem don't really read here.
